He was a direct descendant of the Prophet Muhammad through his daughter Fatimah and her husband Ali ibn Abi Talib. This lineage gave him the honorary title of “Al-Ghawth al-A’zam,” which means “the greatest helper” or “the supreme succor.” Biography
